U.S. European Command’s (USEUCOM) Commander and Supreme Allied Commander Europe Gen. Christopher Cavoli will virtually deliver a keynote address at the National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) upcoming Emerging Technologies for Defense & Exhibition Conference, Aug. 7-9, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
The conference will focus on four themes: contested logistics; Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2); counter-unmanned air systems (UAS); and game-changing technologies. During the event, government leaders will discuss how the U.S. Defense Department and industry can partner together to transition critical technologies into production and operational use to better address current and future operational challenges.
Led by USEUCOM’s Director for Requirements and Resource Integration, Senior Executive Service official, Sally Pfenning, USEUCOM representatives will participate in multiple panel discussions. These discussions will cover a variety of topics including capability requirements and innovation, technology initiatives, counter-UAS technology and USEUCOM’s fires network.
Attendees will also hear from U.S. defense officials on desired technology solutions for mission needs. Participants will have opportunities to directly engage with USEUCOM representatives on partnership opportunities.
Other keynote speakers will include U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Christopher Grady, Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering Heidi Shyu, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment William LaPlante and Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer Dr. Radha Plumb.
